Bookler was founded with the mission of sharing great books with readers everywhere — and it all starts with John Gregory Betancourt.

John has spent decades immersed in science fiction, fantasy, and mystery as both a best-selling writer and a publisher. As the publisher of Wildside Press, he has spent almost 40 years publishing fantastic original novels and short story collections. Along the way, he’s edited legendary magazines like Weird Tales and Black Cat Weekly and written dozens of novels of his own, including Star Trek adventures and the continuation of Roger Zelazny’s Chronicles of Amber. He knows great writing and how hard it can be to find an audience today, with the massive flood of ebook options available everywhere.

Rather than an impediment, John saw this as an opportunity. Readers want fiction, but they want great fiction. Authors and stories they can care about. So Bookler was born.

 

Our mission is to build a community where readers can discover and share the great works by authors new and old — while creating a safe space for fans and readers to mingle and engage.  This is a place you can try our works by both new authors and established authors you may have heard of, but never read before — and do it for free.
